Remote monitoring

Single QueueMonitor agent can monitor multiple servers. However there are some limitations because MSMQ doesn’t offer full functionality for remote mode. Of course, account under which QueueMonitor service runs must have correct permissions on remote queues/folders.

Limitations

• Queue size task can’s use “Percent of quota” mode. You can still check queue size, but only in kilobytes or in message count.
• For “Send to queue” action, you have to specify whether queue is transactional or not.
• For outgoing queues on remote machine, we don’t have access to messages. So poison messages check won’t work. All you can do is check queue sizes.
